Just waiting...

I'm learning... slowly... I think....
When I started to learn about trend-following I was eager to press on with it and attack the markets with enthusiasm. Making trades based on my anticipation of what was going to happen next made me quickly realise that I have no idea what was going to happen next. Markets can rise for months or years at a time (this is what makes the profit). Markets can also fall for months or years at a time (staying out of falling markets is the big advantage of active trend-following)

A lot of the time, trend-following is simply boring. That's fine by me. I have to remember that if I want excitement, I need to find it elsewhere...
At the moment, my investment strategy seems a bit boring. Some parts are invested, some parts are in cash. That's OK, I'll simply go wherever the trends take me.
